Overview

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) has been designed to prepare trainee teachers, tutors, and instructors to teach in a wide range of contexts and develop practical teaching skills. This qualification will improve your teaching ability, skills, and confidence. Whether you’re already in a teaching position or are set to start one for the first time, obtaining this qualification is an amazing opportunity to excel in the FE sector.

    • Delivery of teaching and training in a range of contexts

    • Planning to meet the needs of learners through assessment, differentiation, and the promotion of equality and diversity.

    • Assessing learners in education and training

    • Using resources in education and training

    • Understanding the quality assurance process

    • Inclusive practice, reflection, and evaluation of practice

  • 9 - 12 months - Virtual via Teams or classroom delivered.

  • Delegates will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence to include:

    • The completion of a written assignment and portfolio build

    • 4 observations of teaching and learning

    Minimum Requirement

    • Age 19+

    • Functional Skills English Level 2 minimum

    • Functional Skills maths Level 2 minimum

    • Level 3 sector specific qualification

    • City and Guilds Diploma in Education and Training Level 5

    • Nationally recognised Qualified Teacher Learning Skills Status (QTLS)
