The Quality Team have submitted their final report for the Outstanding Teaching and Learning project. The Colleges’ Partnership bid for and was awarded funding from the Education and Training Foundation as part of the Outstanding Teaching and Learning initiative which was a response to the Sainsbury Review and accompanying National Post-16 Skills Plan.

The project focussed on the use of video and mobile technologies for self-reflection and peer review, with a particular focus on Equality and Diversity and British Values. We evaluated how we can support the sharing of best practice within The Colleges’ Partnership and also across the sector to improve outcomes in teaching and learning.  In addition, we evaluated outcomes and provided specific tailored Professional Development that was highlighted during the project, mainly around the embedding of British Values in the classroom and during a range of interactions with learners such as one to one reviews.  As a result of this project a Peer Observation and self-reflection strategy has been developed to encourage staff to work together to develop ideas and methodologies within teaching learning and assessment.
